Our business was started in 1946 after WWII by Fred Spahn, who returned to the area after serving in the U S Navy.  He opened an auto repair shop in the only place in the region where he could rent  garage space.  In 1949 he purchased the land and built a quonset, where we continue to operate today. Fred’s business changed over the course of the years, especially in the early 1960's with the recreational development of Nebraska’s largest reservior, Lake McConaughy. He started selling bait, tackle and camping supplies.  This evoled into selling boats and motors as well as repair services.  Fred was one of the largest Chrysler boat and motor dealers in the US. The shop was eventually purchased by Fred’s youngest daughter Trish and her husband Matt Meyer in 1998.
We have also changed with the times keeping up with technology and education to work on Mercury and Mercruiser engines.  Our technicians are certified with Mercury Marine, and keep current by taking E Skills and classes at Mercury University in Beaver Dam, WI.

We  work on Chrysler and Force engines and have a large inventory of parts for both as well as Mercury and Mercruiser engines.
Our best asset is customer service, because we believe everyone deserves to be treated honestly and fairly.  We love having a customer come in and tell us, “I remember coming here with my Dad when I was little”.

Fred passed away Sept 30, 2015 we will miss him and his wise words of wisdom.
